- 1Check the 3-character model prefix stamped on your CVT belt and variator
Look for 2DP (2015–2019 NMAX 155), B65 (Aerox / NVX 155 V1), or B8R / BBP (2020+ NMAX V2 / Aerox V2). Match the belt prefix to the primary fixed sheave.
- 2Measure variator boss length before swapping primary sheaves
If upgrading an older 2DP NMAX to a B65 variator assembly, replace the variator collar/boss together as a matched set so belt alignment remains centered.
- 3Inspect crankshaft & transmission oil seals during belt service
Any oil mist inside the dry CVT case contaminates the belt and causes severe takeoff judder. Replace the O-ring and oil seal if dampness is visible.
